The Hobbit review ILLUSTRATED

4 Dec

Hello – Mr Turtle here. The Hobbit illustrated

I have been sent The Hobbit, but it is a new illustrated version with really nice pictures that are very well done.

I previously reviewed the BBC Audio book of The Hobbit and I have been listening to that so I know the story. I was very pleased to get my own copy of The Hobbit to read.

I really like this book because there are a lot of illustrations so if you get confused about what’s happening, or if you’ve forgotten what’s happened before, you can see what’s going on.

Most pages have a colour picture on them. Some of the words are a bit strange but it is not too hard to read.

The book is a big hardback, nearly A4 size. It smells very nice! It would make a nice Christmas present for Hobbit fans.

The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein, illustrated by Jemima Catlin is out now and costs £20
